does jeff know you? I'm assuming its late enough that he'd be paying attention. Live i would insta call jeff there (not that its way way ahead but he bluffs enough that its a no brainer) but dunno if he plays different online, just limping the sb seems weird

the first hand is interesting, i'd be surprised if you called though i have no idea whats right

First hand: I can't stand your preflop play with AQ, and the very reason is that you end up in situations like the one you found yourself in at the end of the hand. But a preflop reraise with AQo? I guarantee you that is not a profitable way to play this hand over the long run. Why not just call? Now you're causing every AK or pocket pair -- all of whom are ahead of you -- to call you and get in ahead of you for more chips and now 15% of your stack, in a spot where you'll never know if you're ahead or behind unless the flop comes exactly QQx or KJT. Just call if you feel the need to play the AQo there.

As it is, there is just no clear way to get a good indication of what this guy has. AK? He has played his hand like AK -- raised preflop, then called your reraise. He checked to try to trap you with a hand like the AQ you have on the flop since you had been the last raiser preflop, but it didn't work so he led out on the turn when he made top two, and now is stacking you on the river.

Otherwise, if he does not have an Ace under there, assuming this guy has some skills to work with, he should not be betting a third time on the river after seeing you raise preflop (indicative of an Ace) and then call on the turn with an Ace on the board. So I say he must have an Ace under there if he is not an idiot, in which case it seems to me you are almost certainly beaten. Best guess is in fact AK, or maybe A6s for flopped two pairs. Even if he checked the flop on a flush draw and then bet the turn on the come as a semi-bluff, even that just filled on this river. Do not see how you can call off your stack with top pair second kicker against a guy who has not acted at all like he is behind that. Should have just called preflop.

Second hand: Here I tend to agree, Jeff Madsen would play almost any bullshit hand here in this same way, and your two pair is not a bad hand. He did not play the flop like someone holding a Jack in my mind, so I don't worry much about the straight draw on the board, and the flush never filled so it's real hard to just put him on two spades (though if he does have that he played the hand extremely well and trick, I would say). I would guess you are probably ahead here and would likely make the call given what I have seen about Jeff's play, understanding that there is maybe a 33% chance that you get stacked here by any number of hands, but probably about a 2/3 chance that you double. I just think once you check the turn there you are deliberately sending a message of weakness, so when an aggromonkey like Jeff pounds it out big on the river after a move like that, you know he could be in there without close to the nuts because he is smelling weakness.

Anonomous lurker post, but I completely disagree with Hammer on these hands.

From my experience, especially early in the Sunday Million, people will attempt to isolate limpers with a lot of different hands. I would always consider reraising with AQ here preflop unless the limper or raiser has shown a very tight range. Just calling preflop gives you no information on your opponents hands, might bring in the limper, and almost forces us to smash the flop. As played, I would probably call the river.

Second hand is close, but I think its a fold. Don't know much about Madsen, but I have to think he would play a lot of Jack-combination hands the exact same way. Flop middle pair and open ender, overbet the pot, slow down on turn with potential flush out there, and ultra-value bet that river. He would probably play a bare As this way, but that is they only "airball" bluff that makes any sense here. I say fold.

Didn't notice that clubs got there on the river in hand 1. Makes it a tough call on the river. Still, I would say there's a small chance villian has AK considering the bet amount on the turn, and the bulldozer all in bet on the river. A6-no chance, and if he has it....I wouldn't lose much sleep. Seems to me like he either hit clubs, or is trying to push you off of what he thinks is 1010-QQ. I probably fold like a little girl unfortunately.

Who flats a 3bet with AK in Sunday Million? Seriously? Obv he can end up here with a set or even A8 because it's a ridiculous field. That's one of those spots where you click "TIME" then go look at their OPR. I love the flop check because you get a donk to barrel you on turn and river every time. Or even a good player who puts you on JJ, QQ etc

2nd hand looks like donk bet on flop w any pair followed by bullshit bet on river. Seriously...how does he check turn then bet 18k on river? He simply knows you don't have a J so he is putting you to the test.

Hm. Just re-read what I wrote last night. Had a pretty good buzz on, so my apologies. Not sure I like either comment. Jeff is bluffy enough to call on the 2nd hand...the 1st is probably a fold.

I am overjoyed to have you back in my life, GmorningSun. You're right, you would have owned my NFL picks. So would your average 82 year-old woman. So would your average coin.

You had been silent long enough. What spurred the return?
