Another Heads Up Score
I finished 3rd/4th place in the FTOPS $535 Heads Up event for $27k. It's pretty clear I'm one of the best heads up tournament players out there, though that wouldn't translate to high stakes heads up cash games. I think I may have no choice but to play the $10k Heads Up at the WSOP this summer.

when you had 89 on 998x9 did the guy have an overpair?
it might be (but i don't think ) results oriented but i would really disagree with not re-raising your last hand with KK
obviously it didn't matter in this case but i think you win more making it 250-300 and leading a perceivably foldable amount of your remaining stack on any flop
in the finals guy you didn't play offered to do an ICM chop before they started, that was really funny
First guy had K8.
Second guy was raising so many hands on the button and I had done little 3-betting (as usual) so with my stack I felt flat was the best play there. He was also c-betting usually so that means a higher likelihood of me getting in a check-jam on the flop. I mean look what he had. Most hands he has I get no action with a 3-bet and just pick up the raise. The other part of this is I 3-bet so rarely guys don't semibluff 4-bet me very often.
At that point I was happy to gamble and let him hit a pair on the flop and maybe double me up, or at least take down a significant pot with an all-in flop checkraise.
Yay! Congrats.
