A Pleasant Grind

Today seemed to be Take Your Professional to Work Day on Party Poker. A weekday afternoon is usually a bad time to play if you want to make money and today was especially light in terms of fish food. For a 1400 hand session, there were very few big interesting pots. I played quite solid, busting one of the few fish with JJ against his AQ on a QJx flop and losing a $3300 pot with KcTc against A9 on a Ac9c4 flop. My one "Mike Matusow blowup" worked. The pros pretty much avoid putting in a lot of money without the goods, and the game becomes more of a value-betting and unwanted pot-stealing battle. It's fun to play against good players, but not as fun as watching someone put in $2000 with two outs to win.
