10. Johnny Depp 9. Michael Caine 8. Al Pacino 7. Anthony Hopkins 6. Denzel Washington 5. Sean Penn 4. Daniel Day-Lewis 3. Jack Nicholson 2. Russell Crowe 1. Edward Norton
Everything on this list is pretty much subjective and I could care less where Denzel Washington is relative to Johnny Depp even though I feel like I could make a compelling argument why Denzel Washington has no range. Oh and thank god you've left off De Niro and Pacino. Those guys definitely lack range. However, I do take issue with your ordering for 1 and 2. No one is better than Crowe.
Obviously with a list like this there can be no right or wrong. But you're wrong. 1-2-3 has to be Daniel Day Lewis, Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington. Jack Nicholson could have been on this list 5 years ago before he decided that it would be a good idea to go in anything that someone pays him $40 to be in. I keep expecting him to be in a Levitra ad. Pacino? C'mon the guy is exactly the same in every movie. Hooah Charlie.
Although range is obviously important, I feel like either Christopher Walken or Steve Buscemi should have made the list for portraying the otherwise unportrayable.
your list is terrible. I don't know if you've ever seen actors such as John Malkovich in movies other than "Rounders" or Leonardo DiCaprio in movies other than "Titanic". The list goes on with talent that was overlooked for mediocrity like Washington and Pacino. I've never been more upset at you over the years than I am right now. I'll get over it as soon as you post "our blog".
Denzel Washington always plays exactly the same character. He does a decent job of playing that one specific over the top type role but mainly...he sucks.

Love the top 5.
The Grave Wolf called it right on Denzel. One trick pony. For the right race? Perfect, one amazing character does not a Top Ten Actor make
