It would be nice if you could predict at least one more "lock" before the season is over...
I love lists like this, because then the peanut gallery gets to nit pick at them.
For instance, in your coaching rankings I think Gary Kubiak and Josh McDaniels are ranked WAY too high. Kubiak is a horrendous coach. At least ten coaches you have ranked behind him are better. I think he is one of the worst five coaches in the league. With McDaniels it is hard to say if it is because he is such a bad coach or the personnel moves have been so bad since he got there, but he is very questionable. If I were an owner, I would never hire a Belichek assistant as my head coach. Belichek does everything for the Patriots (he doesn't have an offensive or a defensive coordinator this year) and his assistants are little more than glorified towel holders. And Mike Singletary should be ranked #846 on this list.
As for QBs, Tony Romo is ranked much too high. He (like a rich man's Jay Cutler) is a great fantasy QB, but a mediocre to bad real world QB. McNabb is probably ranked too high as well, at least if he doesn't get back to a West Coast offense.
Good lists.
The Brute
For so many reasons your QB list is awful. Any QB list that doesn't have Manning and Brady 1 and 2 is crap.
Woo Bucs into the top 20!!!!!!!
Did I miss something or did you rank a team that's 6-4 as the #2 team in the NFL? QBs can't do it all, even if they are Payton Manning. They have too many injuries and a poor defense When you lock onto something, you are more stubborn than my bulldog at letting it go.
Also, New England has defeated 2 of the teams ahead of them in the top 5.
Locks are locks for a reason. Unlikely another one will appear. There hasn't even been a "really like" since September.
McDaniels & Kubiak were the two hardest to rate, because they have great strengths and weaknesses. Kubiak might be the most brilliant offensive mind in the world. He's made Matt Schaub and Arian Foster into superstars. The Texans almost always score a bunch of points, and I'm not convinced they're all that talented on offense. Should Kubiak be blamed for an annually inept defense?
McD's personnel decisions have been even more disastrous than his predecessor's (also a brilliant offensive mind and not much else). However, McD is a flawless game manager and runs an offense that's very hard to defend.
Reggie Wayne doesnt make top 77?
